Dubai Municipality has signed over the responsibility for enforcing smoking restrictions in shopping malls to mall management, Gulf News reported. The commitment is dictated from the announcement of the Smoking Ban. Malls will be self-regulating, said DM Director-General Hussain Nasser Lootah. Malls will not introduce a total ban on smoking but are required to set up specially designated areas for smokers. No deadline has been set for compliance. Bahrain has banned smoking completely from its malls.
