Louis Vuitton

The Louis Vuitton boutiques in Dubai are located at the Mall of the Emirates and the Burjuman Centre. This luxury French fashion and leather goods brand is considered as status symbol around the globe and is highly regarded in the fashion world. The company's iconic Monogram Canvas design can be considered the first designer label in contemporary history. The design was created back in 1896 by Vuitton's son George and it was intended to prevent counterfeiting. Ironically, Louis Vuitton has become the most counterfeited brand in fashion, with just over 1% of all items branded with the Vuitton logo not counterfeit. Many of the fakes are so good, that is hard to recognise them. In Dubai the popular spot for fakes is Karama, where every possible model, color and size of Louis Vuitton bags can be found.
Recently the brand has appointed Scarlet Johansson to promote the Spring 2007 collection, but the actress's seductive presence is far out staging the designs.

Bendon Lingerie

The first Bendon boutique in Dubai is located on the ground floor at the Mall of The Emirates. The newest Bendon boutique on the second level of the recently opened Festival Waterfront Centre it's decorated as a lady's boudoar.
Bendon first started making quality intimate apparel in 1947. That’s when Ray Hurley, a demobilised naval officer, joined forces with his brother Des – a pattern cutter by profession. The name Bendon was a literal description of how the product of the new company, Hurley Bendon, worked. The Hurley brothers offered lingerie that could "bend on" to the body, marking a departure from the heavy wire, steel and bone foundation garments that were prevalent.
From then on, innovation became the key to Bendon’s success, with its revolutionary introduction of stretch strap bras and stretch bodyfashions in 1963 paving the way to its first million dollar sales figures, in 1964.
In 1977 the Bendon range was introduced to Australia and in 1982 the company was publicly floated on the New Zealand stock exchange. In 1987, Bendon merged with Ceramco Corporation. Pacific Retail Group is the current owner of Bendon Ltd, having acquired it in March 2002.
Bendon now has a considerable number of lingerie brands in its portfolio, including Bendon Lingerie, Hey Sister!, Fayreform, Bendon Men and Hickory, and the licensed Elle Macpherson intimates and Macpherson Men brands.

Ralph Lauren - Polo Jeans Co.

The Ralph Lauren Polo Jeans boutique offers excellent quality smart casual outfits for men and women. The picture here is of the outlet in Deira City Centre on the second floor.
Polo Jeans Co. was launched in 1967 when Ralph Lauren purchased the name Polo from his own employers, Polo Jeans Co. for men and women was not far behind. Starting out as a line of ties, Polo expanded over the years to include semi-formal and casual apparel for all sexes, ages, and classes. Since Polo Jeans Co. has extended their styles from argyle sweater vests and button-down oxford shirts to accommodate online custom shirts that you can design all on your own, Lauren can truly say that they offer something for everyone.
The company logo of a polo player on horseback is now an internationally recognized symbol for quality luxury clothing.
The prices in Dubai follow an international standards.

Damas Kids, Jewellery Boutique

An interesting boutique for kids is one of the many Damas Jewellery shops. It's located on the second floor, near the antiques shops. Until than I have seen in many jewellery shops bracelets and chains with kids motives and design - Micky Mouse, Ladybirds etc , but never a shop specializing in it. It offers only kids jewellery and watches. For the Arab women juwellery is very important asset and many have quite rich collections. Collecting begins from birth, go's trough birthdays and graduations, trough dowry and wedding gifts. For more information on the Damas jewellery chain click here.
