‘Everything You Desire This Summer’ promotion

Dubai shopping centers opening hours extended in July

Shopping centers in Dubai are set to extend their opening hours next month in an efforts to add boost to the emirate's retail industry, according to the Dubai Department of Economic Development.

Shopping centers will open between 10:00 am to 12 midnight 7 days a week while restaurants inside the centers may stay open to 1:00 am at least and even extend for extra hours as needed.

CEO of Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment Laila Bint Suhail said the move would help increase sales of retailers and give shoppers more fun time at the centers.

Dubai World Cup at the Bur Juman Centre

Dubai's Burjuman shopping mall is hosting a head turning exhibition to showcase the work of international milliners this week. The 10 day millinery exhibition is being held in the run up to the Dubai World Cup, the world's richest horserace. A stunning collection of exquisite couture hats, headpieces and accessories will be on display at the mall, until 30 March 2007, giving race-goers the opportunity to find the perfect accessory to match their race day outfit.
Six milliners and a world-class accessories designer will be exhibiting at BurJuman during mall working hours, offering fashion headwear advice, displaying their latest collections for sale and also creating custom-made headpieces, fascinators and other headwear accessories for race-goers using a variety of materials. Serena Lindeman, Marilena Romeo, Louise MacDonald, Sabine Pedder, Julie Ann Lucas, and Karen Hamilton are all scheduled to showcase their fabulous headwear along with Louise Harrison, a famous accessories designer, and her exquisite scarves.

Bur Juman Centre

One of the first major shopping malls in Dubai, which is located in Bur Dubai . Actually is the second build by Al Gurair Group after the Al Gurair Centre. Bur Juman comprises of 300 thousand sq. ft. of retail space with 190 stores of popular American and European brands, wide selection of restaurants, a food court and cafes.The Children area is quite popular. It's on the third floor and id called Tobby. It is very convenient as you can leave the kids for two hours and round the shops by your own.
Two years ago a new extension was completed, which is housing hi-end boutiques and stores: Saks Fifth Avenue, Salvatore Feragamo, Hermes, Laundry by Shelly Seagal, Tiffany etc.
Other popular retail outlets are DKNY, Calvin Klein, Cartier, Rodeo Drive, Polo Ralph Lauren, Escada, Rivoli, Aigner, MaxMara, NEXT, Mango, Zara, Paris Gallery (Link) and Guess.
